So you want to know more about in-home sessions…
Taking photos outside is so overrated!
If you really think about it, our goal is to capture a little bit of your essence so you can keep it and have it for ever and ever. Why SHOULDN’T we make your home, the place you’ve made most like you, part of that journey? You can dress up or dress down, your kids can stay in their pj’s, and we can get cozy in your living room, your bedroom, in one tiny corner of the baby’s nursery, in the kitchen.
In-Home sessions don’t have to be extravagant, but they can be if you want them to be. I’ve photographed families sitting on their couches, in-laws crowded around the Christmas tree, babies in the sink and have even had a newborn shoot on one very well lit side of a tiny spare bedroom.
The possibilities for capturing candid memories inside your home are ENDLESS!
Each session below was shot in ONE SPACE of the home!

Let’s be real… some of us live in very clean and well kept homes, and some of us are just a little bit messy. I most definitely like my house clean, but it rarely stays that way for very long.
If there is a toddler living in your home, I will expect to find some cheerios on the floor when I come visit for your photo session. There will be no judgement about it.
We will chat about your in-home session before it happens and have a clear plan in mind for which areas of your home we will be photographing so you have some time to prepare the space. If we’re not using the kitchen, the living room, the kid’s bathroom… etc. I will not expect it to be clean and it won’t be showing up in your gallery anyway, so why worry about it if you don’t want to.

Probably yes. The ONE thing I need from your house is either one good window or one cute space and an outlet so I can plug in my big light(s). Natural light from a window is a thousand times easier in every aspect (it’s more diffused, we shouldn’t get any weird shadows, etc.). It also means I don’t have to carry the big lights all over your space, but we can make it work if we have to.
If you’re very unsure that your house will be okay for photographs I’m more than happy to schedule a video call to talk about it with you. And just so we’re all aware… my tiny house is 650sq. ft. currently, so I know how to work in small spaces.
