Why Book A Lifestyle Photographer?

Ok, so I’m sure we’ve all seen those perfectly posed, flawless scenes that make it look like the family or couple or kids should be on the cover of a magazine, right? And even though they’re beautiful, they can feel a little unattainable because for most of us, real life is busy and a little messy sometimes.

While there’s a time and place for these sorts of images, they’re not usually the kind we pull out in 20 years when we sit down with our now adult children to reminisce about the life we’ve lived.

Enter the lifestyle photographer!

Lifestyle photographers strive to capture the beauty in the every day! We’re not super strict on poses and we probably won’t airbrush your freckles. Our goal with lifestyle sessions is to capture the most authentically beautiful version of your real life story, so that 20, 30, 40 years down the road you’ll have some real, beautiful memories to look back on.

We prefer natural smiles and giggles over “cheese” and “crackers”. We like to let your little ones be themselves, and we love, love, love incorporating your thoughts and ideas into your sessions to make them feel more special for you!

I love capturing real moments. The more authentic, the more beautiful.

Storytelling photography focuses on you, your story, and your moments. It involves a lot less direction than traditional portrait photography, so while I’ll still be prompting you and hyping you up, I likely won’t be hyper focused on where your hands are placed or telling your kiddos to sit still. The goal is real smiles, real laughter, real memories.

When you look at the photos on your wall in years to come, do you want to remember how bossy I was and how hard it was to hold the pose, or do you want to remember how much fun you had and how you felt in that beautiful frozen memory?

Hi, I’m Stace.

I’l be learning a little about your story, so here’s a little bit of mine to even the playing field.

First off… I am a mom! It’s not my definition, but it is my favorite way to describe myself. Photographer is a close second.

I have two fur babies, one rainbow baby, one angel baby and one on the way. So I’m familiar with how terrified you might be feeling as a brand new parent and how much anxiety you probably wish you didn’t have during your pregnancy and as a new parent.

My professional photography journey started in sunny, Southern California, but my family have since relocated back to Fort Worth, Texas where my husband and I met and fell in love.

I was born and raised in Ireland so traveling all over is nothing new for me and has been a big part of my life for the last 10-15 years. In 2024 I photographed in Utah, North Carolina, Oregon and Washington as well as Texas and California. (We almost made it to Florida, too, but had to postpone a few times) I love any excuse to travel, so hitting me up for a destination wedding or just asking me to travel for your photos will make my week!

I am the biggest “spontaneous adventure” person I know, which has resulted in a 42 hour road trip in a snow storm, moving continents 3 times, dropping out of college (I guess we can just call the whole college experience spontaneous now, since it didn’t last very long), two impulse decision dogs and lots of last minute sessions waist deep in the ocean in December. Basically, I’m telling you I’ll be pumped for the adventure, whatever it is and I’ll be there early, coffee in hand, with some for you, too, if you send me your order, and I’ll have ideas about how to make your session amazing!

I’ve been playing with cameras since I was a kid. I really started focusing on my love for photography right after dropping out of college in 2017 and haven’t ever regretted dropping out. I found where I’m meant to be.
